Quad’s Best of the Internet #11
October 25, 2013 in Quad
It’s Friday!
As is tradition, on every Friday we like to round up some of our more interesting findings from the World Wide Web. This week is no different, so I present to you, Quad’s Best of the Internet! *fireworks*
Russell Brand caused quite a stir this week by guest editing and writing a 4,500 word essay in the New Statesman, and going head-to-head with Jeremy Paxman in an interview for Newsnight. If you’ve not seen the interview, you really should. Regardless of whether or not you agree with Brands stance, it certainly sends a powerful message. So much so that it’s accrued over two million hits on YouTube in just 2 days.
Next up is our Tumblr of the week and very topical it is too… !
Nobody likes the sound of a toddler losing their sh*t with the world for literally no reason whatsoever, but when it does happen, you might as well have a bit of fun… Here we have a fathers perfect lip sync of his daughters demonic tantrum, very much to the amusement of his wife and two sons! The video went hugely viral this week, accruing nearly 3 million hits on YouTube in just a few days!
As well as regularly throwing their toys out of the pram, another thing very small children like to do is sleep. So what better way to pass the time when your little bundle of joy is out for the count, than to turn their nap times into colourful dream scenarios! Click the image to see the whole collection.
Finally this week we have ! There’s been some weird and wonderful sightings on Google Street View in the time it’s been running, and this collection of screen shots illustrates that point beautifully!
That’s your lot for this week and to top it all off, it’s nearly the weekend!
Look around you at your stony faced colleagues as they reluctantly crunch numbers into another Excel spreadsheet. In a few hours they’ll be at the bar nailing apple sours with their tie wrapped round their head… Here’s to Friday night!
Have a great weekend!
